A true physical space that can be transformed as fluidly as possible. A living/changing space. A space that can represent any other: anywhere, everywhere, nowhere.
The DimensionElevator is an immersive video environment, an accessible forum for immersive art in order to encourage its creation and exploration.
Four large (16 feet wide x 12 feet tall) video screens form a room for up to 20 people. Environments are realized through synchronized video on all four walls and synchronized audio in all four corners.
 The DimensionElevator is a collaboration. The first DE show blossomed from a Call for Works sent out in June of 2001. 12 artist teams and individuals responded and created 19 environments in the next month with assistance from dandelion collective.
