Future
We hope that if you are intrigued by the Dimension Elevator that you will get involved. Our goal is to make it possible for anyone who is interested to create and experient in the immersive video medium. What it takes from you is a commitment of time, thought and energy. A willingness to explore.
If you think you are interested in creating a piece for the DimensionElevator, and would be willing to put in at least 20 hours of your time to create it, contact us. Please include a little bit about your background (if any (not required!) ) in art, technology, or other creative pursuits. Our ablity to demonstrate peoples interest to collaborate on the DE to prospective grant sources and sponsors will increase our likelihood of finding the funding necessary for this project.
Tour
dandelion collective hopes to tour the Dimension Elevator in late 2002 or early 2003 in Europe and North America. We would like to visit small towns and big cities alike, and hopefully some grade school assemblies.
Permanent Install
We dream of establishing permanent compatible installations in several cities, so that quad-channel de content can be shared/traded/sold between different cities.
Financial Support
Members of dandelion collective funded the first iteration of the Dimension Elevator and put together the first two shows through hard work and with the incredible support of many many wonderful people.
It was worth it. We have created something ground breaking, and now we are ready to go break some more by demonstrating what hi-tech tools are for. We want to show people what can be done with the incredible tools that are now available at affordable prices.
We are seeking support from new media organizations and companies who share our goal: to promote the positive and creative use of technology.
